"Dougnut-Hole Country"

In English we read a magazine article from Newsweek called "Doughnut-Hole Country." In this article I think that I am a "Stayer." I am moving to another state not to far away and the town will be much like the one I live in now. I am going to further my education, I am going to go to a college. On the other hand I am going to travel to that college, I am not going to live on campus or in that city. I think that I would prefer that.

I have a son and I'm going to have a family. I lived in a city when I was younger and I thought it was scary, revolting and disgusting. I can never let my son see the things that I saw or some of the things that go on in a city. Also, I want to have a large yard, a place where I can have animals and maybe a farm... I think that would be nice

I think that a rural area is a good place to have a family. I think that it is because there are fewer people and you get to know them and have trustworthy people around you. Also, where I am moving I will have family that I can trust, and that I enjoy. I will enjoy being around people I like and trust. Having a large piece of land I think would be great, if I can not have a piece of land large enough for a farm then at least I can have a piece of land where my family can be outside and play and have fun.

Also, I enjoy the woods and nature. Not many people know that or can tell just by looking at me but I do. Walking through the woods or down the road is peaceful and calming. There is nothing like it. If you have not done it.... You should. I go for a walk when I get nervous or stressed or have some kind of feeling I can not sort. I even go "hunting" sometimes. All that consists of is walking with somebody else who has a gun. I don't like guns so it works out well.

How I Live by: Meg Rosoff

I am not fully sure of what to think about this book. There are some very good parts to this book but I personally think that there were more boring parts then there were exciting parts. The closer I got to the end of the book the better it got.
I think that the Evil step mother having Daisy sent away was horrible. What I think is the worst because he let it happen, he let his little girl go to another country to family from her mothers side that she has never even meet. How horrible???
I cannot believe a lot of this book it just seems so evil and wrong. Also, I think that there are many parts that I am sure are real and happened. It's just a very different book for me.
Our Book Club had questions in a cornucopia, which to me is kinda funny because I am reading Hunger Games......

Hunger Games Acrostic Poem

I have picked Katniss because I think that she is some body that I would like to be. Katniss in the first book Hunger Games was strong, bold, courageous, sweet, caring and lovable. She has so many characteristics that I would like to have. I have a few characteristics that she has but not as well as Katniss. She is amazing in so many ways I think. I think that she does not know love or emotion very well so she is not very smart when somebody shows their love for her. She does not notice it very well or at all.. Which make her annoying in some ways to me....

Hunger Games Acrostic

For my acrostic poem I am choosing Gale Hawthore because I think that him and Katniss should be married. They are so alike and they have known each other for a very long time. They love each other and know all each others secrets. I wish that there was a guy/person in my life that I could hang out with everyday for hours and hours on end, tell every secret that I have. I'm not sure if I have ever had a friend that I could trust to do that with that I've had for my life or even more then 4 years.. I wish that I could. Gale seems to be the kind of person that would let you cry and cry if you just started crying. I think that there should be more people in this world like Gale. Even though Katniss is back from the Hunger Games he still truly does like her, but I think that he is jealous and maybe even embarrassed to talk to Katniss.
